You Last Forever Training in TN with PEF

June 22nd, 2009

July 13-18 is the Annual Summer Conference for the Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship at Milligan College near Johnson City TN. I will be there teaching and training others in using the You Last Forever model as a tool for evangelism and discipleship. YLF is one of the morning seminars offered July 14 -17. If you or others are looking to revive or refresh your skills YLF may put a spring back in your step as you reach out to others. One Teaching Elder I shared YLF with at General Assembly was excited as a boy at Christmas when he saw what YLF could do for his own outreach to young people. YLF Report from PCA General Assembly

June 19th, 2009

I had a very eventful and enjoyable week in Orlando at the 37th annual General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America. A wonderful Spirit pervaded the gathering in meetings and worship services. Since I was not there as a commissioner, it was mainly a time for me to teach, network, and acquaint others with the You Last Forever approach to evangelism and discipleship. Besides teaching the You Last Forever Seminar and giving a brief YLF presentation to approximately 50 chaplains, I also shared at the MNA Chaplains’ breakfast some insights into my work as a fulltime hospice chaplain. All the presentations were appreciated and well received. Much interest in YLF was garnered from private conversations and the YLF samples that I distributed to many during the week.

June 16 and 17 Schedule

June 10th, 2009

This week I picked up new materials (cards and booklets) to use in my You Last Forever presentations June 16 at 8:30am to military and civilian chaplains meeting in the Disney Coronado Resort, Orlando. At 2:00-3:00 pm I will be conducting a public seminar on the same topic. Early Wednesday morning at breakfast I’ll be one of 4 chaplains addressing people who pray for and financially support the various chaplain ministries endorsed by the Presbyterian and Reformed Joint Commission on Chaplains and Military Personnel. Please pray for the Lord’s blessing on all these events.

New Pamphlet coming

May 26th, 2009

I am continuing to develop various tools for evangelism and discipleship as you can see from the website Tools bar. These tools revolve around the key idea that each person we meet was made to last forever because he/she has been created in the image of God. Now I am working to have a pocket size booklet that will be attractive to hand out to people starting at the presentations and seminars that I will be doing this summer. On Sunday a church lay leader stopped by to ask me for extra copies of other You Last Forever materials which will present the gospel in a different way to her grown daughters. Such requests affirm me in the work the Lord has given me to do. May He affirm your labors as well that we all may be zealous in doing good.

This promises to be a productive summer for You Last Forever as I speak to several groups. June 16, I give a brief presentation to military and civilian chaplains who gather in Orlando for training under the auspices of the Presbyterian and Reformed Joint Commission on Chaplains and Military Personnel. Later that same day I will be teaching one of the many seminars available to the attendees at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America to be held in Orlando at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. I invite you to attend this very informative and motivational free seminar to be held at the resort in room Coronado N from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.
